Ernest F. Gillan, MD was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. He attended Thomas Jefferson University Medical School and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Bryn Mawr Hospital in 1987.

Dr. Gillan joined Paoli Family Medicine in 1987.  His special interest areas are Chronic Disease Management, Preventive Medicine, and Geriatrics. Dr. Gillan is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics; he is also the Certified Medical Director of a long term care facility.  His hobbies include golfing, walking, and sports.

Dr. Gillan received the Main Line Today Top Doctors Award for 2018 and 2019 and Philadelphia Magazine’s Top Doctors Award for 2019.
