WE DO NOT ACCEPT MEDICAID
We encourage our patients to CALL US FIRST prior to going to the ER and prior to seeing a specialist.
There is a $25 fee/charge for calls made to our office after hours to the on-call medical provider.
Phone Communication with Triage and Our Providers
During office hours, all calls are answered by our triage staff. Calls are answered in the order in which they are received. When a patient calls requesting an appointment, cancellation, refill, medication prior authorization, medical question, concern or clarification, the call is first handled and documented by our triage staff. All calls needing a provider’s attention will be forwarded to your Primary Care Provider or one of the other providers if yours is not available for a timely response. We will address all patient requests and concerns as promptly as possible. With this in mind, please know that our providers are busy seeing scheduled patients during office hours. Once we are able to address your call, you will receive a call from triage or your provider. Please allow enough time for this process to take place. For non-urgent matters, you may also reach us via the Patient Portal.
Prescription and Refill Requests
All medications and supplements should be reviewed with the doctor during each appointment. It is also helpful if you know the strength of the medication, directions for use and the pharmacy you use. Be sure to include how many refills are required so that you have enough medicine to last until your next visit.
If you run out of medications before your next visit, call the office to let us know. Our office policy is to not electronically transmit controlled substance prescriptions. Therefore, if requesting a refill on a controlled medication script, you will need to pick it up and sign for the prescription. You will be asked for photo identification. If you are unable to personally pick up the controlled script, ONLY someone listed on your HIPAA form and showing photo identification will be permitted to pick up.
We may require up to 72 hours (3 days) to accommodate a refill request. Do not wait until you are out of medication to call. Be aware that your doctor may ask you to schedule an appointment to assess your health prior to writing a refill.
